Farmers Harrasment

I received a call from CCS collection agency stating that I did not pay $83.83 which Farmers Ins. Billed me a month after sending me my refund checks. Since you have taken the action to destroy my credit because I chose to no longer do business with you after more than 20 years I plan to take this to Farmers Ins. Customer Service and the local Better Business Brueau.


Even though I do not believe I owed Farmers Ins. $83.83 I paid it on December 4 as I usually do through BofA on line banking the following is a copy of the online proof of payment.

I received two checks both for homeowner policies one in the amount of ($182.29 policy the other in the amount of ($337.78 When I checked my files both policy numbers were for homeowner insurance. Totaling $520.07

Please let me know when I can expect to receive a credit on the earthquake and auto insurance policies

After careful consideration I have decided to cancel my auto, home owners and earthquake policy~s with Farmer~s Insurance. Believe me it was not an easy decision but in the face of ever increasing cost I am face with by switching to another insurance carrier I saved $630.

I believe I am due a refund

On August 1st I paid $675.56 toward the Homeowners policy and I am due a refund $619.26

On August 1st I paid $433.00 toward the earthquake policy and I am due a refund of $396.91

As I understand it my flood insurance policy cannot be changes to another insurance carrier so it will remain in effect until August 2008 at that time I will switch it to my new insurance company.

My Auto Policy with Farmer Ins. will laps as of September 10, 2007 and the new policy will take effect on same day not sure if any refunds are due on the auto policy.

Please calculate the refund due me for the above mentioned policies as my number of $1,016.17 may not reflect an up to date figure.

Tell Michael I am sorry I was unable to take his call this afternoon.

i too canceled my insurance with farmers after over 25 years and went to allstate. Farmers turned the policy amount (nearly $500) to CCS collection agency after i received the cancelation notice and spoke to the agent yet again and explained that i, like my children, was not going to renew. here nearly a year later, the collection agency is still harassing me and asking for payment. I have sent the requested letters as well as having my new agent send both the collection agency and farmers, a copy of my in force policy to no sucess they continue to harass me. so this month i will be filing a small claims suit against them as well as seeking a cease and desist order.
