Wife was involved in accident on 02/12/2009. At fault driver couldn't provide proof on insurance. Amazingly, the police dept recieved a fax the next day of an insurance verification form. Problem was, effective date was same day as accident and when I called the agent, he wouldn't tell us if driver was covered at time of accident or not. In fact, the only one who got a copy sent to them was the police dept. I believe this was to try and just get out of the ticket for the driver. I also believe the fax came from the insurance agent's office and not the owner.
