Farmers new billing system is set up so that if you decide to take your business elsewhere, you must notify them prior to your renewal date that you do not intend to renew the policy. If you chose simply not to pay it, they will bill you a $5 service fee and $10 late payment fee. I know it sounds odd, but they justify it by saying the incure expenses billing and sending out renewal offers. They have a right to be compensated for such expenses. I say BS.
