Homeowners insurance claim - being treated like a criminal

The purpose of homeowners insurance is to provide protection in the event of a burglary and or damage to your home. Farmers insurance is the biggest joke! Immediately flagged my claim for fraud rather than helping me, the victim. I have never been treated as rudely or had my family and friends harrassed this much.

Be warned that Farmers has a tactic to send you through undue hardship which forces you to get an attorney. The "investigators" are clearly biased in which I have been made to feel as though there may be some racial biases. Comments such as, "these are high end items without receipts" pretty much imply to me that they think someone of my color could not afford high end items and I must be lying. Also, my educational credentials have been scrutinized as well as the money I have shown on W-2's.

Despite the fact there have been several burglaries on my street during the times of my 2 burglaries, my family and friends are being interrogated in unethical ways. Farmers clearly has an objective to frustrate the insured, interrogate, belittle and harass in an attempt to make the insured drop the claim.

I have known of another insured that Farmers spent several hundreds of thousands of dollars investigating and found nothing fraudulent about the individual. The Seattle office clearly has biased opinions about the insured people and flag them for knowing people that have filed several claims. You are flagged and categorized with guilt by association.
