OK, so in January 1999 we were rear ended by a drunk driver. My husband sustained lower spinal cord damage. And, after back surgery which, by the way was unsuccessful, he nearly died because he stopped breathing. Three days on life support in ICU and after cleaning out our medical coverage on our PIP coverage, we were maxed out.

Well, today, my husband is completely disabled and in chronic pain. I have just started working for another insurance company and one of the girls who works in our claims department just told me that Farmer’s should have gone after the other guy’s company for everything paid out for my husband beyond what the other guy’s coverage was.

Here’s the math: He had $50,000 worth of coverage, my husband’s medical expenses totaled $103,000. So, according to my friend, we should have been re-imbursed $53,000!!!! On top of that, we should have NEVER paid our attorney’s fees! That’s another $15-20,000!!!

The statute of limitations has expired, so I may have no recourse. But, as I told my agent, you can be your [sweet bippy] that I am going to file a complaint with the insurance licencing board against the adjuster that worked that claim. He should have told us that we had a right to that money!

I just want to cry, as if I haven’t cried enough. My poor husband has been disabled for all these years, his life stolen from him and then, good ol’ Farmer’s has bent us over too!

I can understand your anger, but I'd be really upset at the attorney that I paid 15-20000 dollars and didn't pursue the cash at your own company. Not sure what state you live in, but either your attorney or your friend are confused.

You company can only pay the additional $53k if you have underinsured motorist coverage that exceeds the at-fault carriers $50k in coverage. Meaning if you had UM coverage at $100k than Farmers would have been able to compensate you for the balance under your policy which is $50k. It is unfortunate that your husband was injured and there were those attorney fees. Did you open a claim with Farmers? Did your attorney attempt to open claim?

I recenetly settled a class action lawsuit which is posted on this website. In 1996 I was hit head on with the other car that hit my car from the left front headlight all the down and around to rear tail light. I had a 1990 corvette with 18,000 miles. The adjuster quit doing the estimate at $18,500 figuring that is what the car was worth. My car was in show room condition. I had to call headquarters to get someone to listen since they came up with a figure I had only 2 more days with the rental car. I received from Farmers an 18 page report of how they came up with figure and where I could get a comparable car. The report listed cars that over 100 miles away, had over 50,000 miles, cars that were over 10 yrs old, cars that cracked, damaged, torn dashboards, seats, chipped paint, cars with wheel covers instead of mags. My car was in showroom condition. I do have pictures of before and after to prove my point. I have been paid diminished value "this didn't apply to me". But I am not done with farmers yet. It took 10 yrs to settle the class action suit, but Farmers doesn't realize they messed with a "tiger by the tail". Because of the class action suit Farmers raised my rates or $800.00 a year using every excuse they could, including credit reports etc. Farmers couldn't cancel my policy since I had been with them for over 25 yrs. I did leave and my insurance went back down to normal. I urge everyone to leave Farmers. Don't think these things won't happen to you, your turn just hasn't come around yet. But it will just when you need it most. Farmers does not put you back where you belong they just try to put you in your place, This should be evident by all the complaints and class action law suits.

We have been farmers customers for about 10 years and recently had a vehicle stolen in Tijuana, Mexico. It was a complete nightmare and when I talked to the agent Randy Davis from East Wenatchee, WA he advised that he would do research on what we needed to do.
The truck that was stolen was a 2006 Chevy Silverado crew cab that cost 51,000 and at the time we entered it into the our policy 10 month previous he had advised that we had insurance coverage 25 miles into Mexico. In 2006 and 2007 I went down to Guadalajara, Mexico and purchased seperate insurance from Randy Davis(farmers agent) about 5 seperate times because it was passed the 25 mile perimiter.

After looking into it Randy found out that the insurance did once cover Mexico for 25 miles off the U.S. boder but it had changed. He advised he felt bad and found it hard to believe that a new truck would be so easily stolen. It was a sickening to my stomach to have an agent know you that long mislead you and then miss trust my character.

I was ran over by a car Insured by Farmers while on a bicycle . With pictures, medical info. and all necessary documentation we have requested $35,000 which does include PTSD; however, the company has been delaying in a proper response. What are the options available to secure the settlement?

I was an adjuster for 18 years and 11 with Farmers. All insurance companies work the same way. Who is we? Do you have an attorney? What is he doing? Just remember one thing because you may have an attorney does not change the value of the claim. There are no set formulas period. We look at the medical reports and all the information. Sorry to say if you flip hamburgers you will probably get less than if you were a doctor. If you are reaching for the moon you will never get it. They will tell you to file suit and let the court decide. It is all about cost... If you do not have an atty. then think about how much it will cost you. You have to take emotion out and use reasonable business sense. Unless your case is very complicated most of the time an atty will cost you money. I am just telling what I would do. If you had three atty I would not give you a 100,000 for a claim worth 20,000.

I know with Farmers when I was working the squeaky wheel got the grease. If you really think you are getting screwed then contact the CEO of FIG and things will go down hill fast. Hope some thing helps...garywray

I was involved in an accident with a Farmers' insured. Although some pedestrians bolted into the street & caused the accident, I was deemed at fault for rear-ending. Nearly 3 months after the accident, I received my first notice of payment - not from Farmers, but from the Credit Collection Services for 2/3 or more the cost of a new model of the insured's car. Her car had minor cosmetic damages & she drove away from the accident. I have requested an itemized account of what I am expected to pay and have been told by Farmers insurance that they do not have the information, rather Credit Collection Services does. C.C.S. tells me the opposite - that Farmers has the information. Clearly there is dishonesty involved from Farmers, considering they had to send an amount to Collections. I am amazed at the lack of integrity from each representative I have spoken with - including Adjustors & Supervisors. Rather than being straight-forward and contacting me about what I owe & why, they play dirty & threaten me with Collections, without any explanation.

Farmers group insurance has put the shaft to me on each incident.. we have never had a accident or speeding ticket only deer running into the side of our vehicle , and the adjuster in order to justify their jobs, cut all the corners possible. So much for a crap company. Try Hartford,, much better.. cheaper, better coverage, no moron adjuster..

Hellow , after eleven years with Farmers Insurance no claims , I have current problems.Seems Farmers are great till they need to pay.I guess I should have noticed because they have moved four times there location and I have had four different agents.I had my truck involved in an accident that was insured with only liability.The driver wasnt me but a friend of mine.He was found at fault of the accident and totalled a 2002 Honda Accord.The way I always thought was that the liability Insurance requirred would cover the other guy and you would suffer your own loss.Now that said I use this truck at my business and the last agent knew this and never said a thing to me about a need for commercial coverage.Now they want to cancell the coverage and back date and require me to pay anew large premium on a wrecked truck to settle this claim.I was just browsing on the net when I see this site.I have never been to happy with Farmers and there already high premiums but I believed they were a top notch provider.I had my only home owners claim denied when my ceiling fell in because they said it was from natural causes?My step-son came to live with us for awhile with his wife and to save them money we took them to Farmers and insured their 04 Mountaineer for full coverage.They put his nineteen year old wife on the primary driver of my now wrecked work truck because they say that that's the way the computer does it in their system and upped my premium to try to keep the mountaineer rate down?Just seems fishy to me and now that I see some of this sites stories I think I am right.I took out life insurance years ago on my step-son and when he was on his own I tried to cancell it.Farmers told me while taking my money that I couldnt because it was his policy.When my step-son came back they did cacel it and kindly sent him the premium check?Whatever happens I think my home,life and auto policies are going to need a better Insurance company.I never could under stand why the rates would go up every year and never no tickets or claims.I read once that even the year Katrina hit that the insurance companies still made 10 billion dollars.

I am not insured by Farmers but was involved in a accident with one of their insured. At the time of the acident my insurance had lapsed by 1 month, when the accident occured the police were called. The police department could not determine who was at fault and there was not witnesses or proof either. 1week later an adjuster called me and got my side of the story. Later that day he called me back and told me they were going to take the side of their insured. (keep in mind I did not file any claims with farmers for my damages and was not planning to.) Itold him that is an obvious good business practice and that all I wanted was to pay for my damages and he pay for his. The agent said that is whats going to happen and I got off the phone with him somewhat releived. About 3 months later I received letter in the mail from a collections company farmers owns saying I owed them $3500.00. I called the adjuster back whos name was Justin Wagner, and asked him what this bill was about. He got very rude and said " I never told you that you didnt have to pay" So after arguin ng for some time he told me that their adjusters came to the seen and determined it was my fault. Little did Justin know, but I was at the seen for 2 hours and did not leave until 45 minutes after their insured car was towed. when I told Justin this he got very defensive and told me that if I had, had insurance they would have filed claim with my company and they would have denied it and that would be it. But ince I did not have insurance I would have to fight it myself. While on hold I noticed a recording for insured saying you could go online and see adjuster notes on your accident when Justin got back on the line I asked hime if I could have all adjuster documentation and recorded phone calls I had with him and he said no I would have to hire a lawyer and havehim get them. Now their collections company is also an interesting story. The man that called me was very rude and would not let me speak. They threatend to get my license suspended if I did not pay and wheneverI tried to talk the man would just talk over me finally I gave up and terminated the call with him. Little did this bill collector know but I called the TX DPS and they said that it must be a scae tactic because if I currently had insurance (which I dd) they would not suspended my license. When I called the bill collector back he got outraged and said "you must be on of those people who dont pay their bills!" Before I could say anything else he hung up on me, what even more funny is that after HE hung up on me he tried to call me 4 more times that day. To make a lon story short I am taking Farmers insurance to Small Claims JP court. I want everyone to keep in mind I am not a deadbeet trying to get out of a bill. I did not have car insurance 1 month out of my life, and NO ONE WAS DETERMINED AT FAULT!!! BY POLICE OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER. The last time I talked to Justin I left hime with this thought and I would like to do the same for you, If one of their insured was speeding down the road drunk and T-Boned me killing my wife and child and there was no proof either way and I didnt have insurance would they still be coming after me?

I was passenger of a car accident where a Farmers insured drunk driver hit my friend and I. I was offered a low $700 and then when I explained that my medical bills cost more than that they asked me to send in paperwork. After doing so I never heard from them again and when I tried to call back they said there was never a claimed filed and they couldn't find any record of me in their system. 1 year later I am still waiting for something. The last conversation I had they wanted me to go down and pay for another police report because they didn't know what I was talking about.

My car was recently stolen and found burned ( a month and a half ago). I have full coverage via Farmers and Gap insurance. This whole time we were working on the "total loss settlement" I was thinking thatI would recieve some kind of money back. Apparently after I signed the papers and did everything I was suppose to do the total loss specialist said Im not getting a dime back.

My pay off was around $22,000. Farmers is paying aroun $11,000+ and Gap will cover the remaining balance. This leaves me with no money no car?

How is this possible. Farmers said that I do not own the car the lender does. But what happened to my money that I put towards to car and insurance?

Is this right?

I've several policies with Farmers. My agent does not answer a single question on the billing notices I receive monthly. He says he will check and call me back. He never does. I cannot make heads or tails from these payment statements I receive monthly. In mid-June, I wrote him a letter advising Farmers that I would not renew my home owner's policy on 7/1/2009, the expiration date of that policy. I listed policy and account numbers in the subject line in order to not cause confusion. On 6/26/2009 I receive a letter confirming cancellaltion of my AUTO insurance as of July 1,including a premium refund check,never mentioning my my home owner's policy. My auto insurance is due for renewal on 9/1/2009. With the weekend coming up, I will have no time to shop around for an affordable auto insurance. Each time I call this agent, it is a long distance phone call for me. When I asked him to whom I can complain about him he told me that he was the "boss" and I need to complain to him. He gave me neither a name nor a phone number of the person above him. I don't know how to sort this out. This is why insurance companies are rich and we are poor.

I today terminated a auto insurance relationship with my Agent from Farmers that couple years ago my grown children and i had a conversation going about who we had for insurance companies and ruff estimates on what we paid for coverage.Of course we are a Texas family so them living in a Big City with more accidents(Houston) and previously having lived there my self,my middle daughter said Dad
it sounds as if you're paying way to much for insurance.So of course all this time
trusting my agent(so called friend) was looking out for me his customer. Needless to say when i starting the list of companies going to JD Powers associates for rating guide lines i felt that I wanted no problems so i sought after the best rated companies and low and behold I got hard copy quotes of the same coverage and then
stepped up to more extravagant coverages with much higher amounts and additional
stuff i didn't have on Farmers,needless to say i was just slain with shock that even so loading up on coverage that I had scrimped on with farmers to hold my costs down i could have and still save literal hundreds of dollars. Then i take off to my agent and said look Ken what on earth are you doing to me here. he said what? i told him not only had i been be Bent over like a double barrel shotgun(raped)
TOTALLY DRY, but SUCKER PUNCHED as well in both eyes at the same time.He came back with you're kidding me there's just no way, he said i must first hand see these
quotes you have and go to the District manager and see if there's a Mistake. Well the 2nd shocking thing was he came back to me and started talking noise that it was pure bull that the quotes i had gotten were rigged or whatever, so i told him

a rug.After a few days they come back to me and say that they are so embarrassed and don't know what to say or do, that dist manager Melissa Baumalow said just
shut up and sell service,that the rates i was charged was correct and that no
changes or thoughts there of any thing different, So i got Austin(state hdqs)
involved and they totally were asses and would not admit error or just more or less said sir this what your going to pay and like it or lump it.They even had to
gal to think i was ignorant enough to believe the lie that the State Of Texas was the
decider of what my rates were to be, well naturally i had to heard the state
insurance agency tell me that it was true or not and of course that was a lie,The
state regulatory office said they tell us what they're charging and we just monitor to see that rates is followed.In this day and time when CSI should be the
Biggest concern for a company with their retention rates on the ceiling before they go out to purchase the first nickel's worth of Television Ads or Marketing
I would think if i couldn't treat customers would had been in my fold for a decade
or so and happy how could as a company win new i guess Suckers to bend them over and give them blackeyes as well.Why do I care and write this letter,well mostly I guess to vent the anger and bruttal assualt that this paticular company thinks
you should just shutup, layback and enjoy the raping, so said cause just a few dollars difference would just be a little screwing but hundreds (700.00) in one year i'm
thinking on the news headlines would be called assualt.Claims or tickets were never involved and kept my act straight and no DWI/DUI's just none of that.I do right now have a claim in progress with them on my Motor Home, it seems to be going right but if it doesn't or they don't follow thru being as they were thrown to the
curb today,I'll be back so that you hear but hay they are still laughing that they got me for over 700.00+ for a number of years. it's really a shame that justice can't or won't be served in this case but believe me. ALL GOOD honest Straight people Hear me and check your Rates before renewing every 6mos which is what Farmers wants to do.Don't care how long you've known your Agent that feel he is got your best interest at Heart,Trust no one at Farmers make them earn every drop of respect or trust that
they get.now in my family growing up if i had taken several hundred dollars that
wasn't mine and just flat didn't belong to me and i think society still calls ones
who would be dishonest like that a THIEF.......now i would like to think that if the CEO where anything but a taker with bonuses that are now in the Current corporate
world given out on failure....would possibly hear my Story and experience with his
company, he would have intestinal fortitude to right a wrong but like the odds with insurance period, it's all in their favor and we the consumer just get______.Please folks JUST DO THE MATH AND UR HOMEWORK, otherwise send those
unwanted funds to me and i faithfully promise to find good honest use.EM (texas) I have made copies so moderator if your not fair to let these people hear Truth it will show up somewhere on the net.

For some odd reason, what you are quoting (below) is just not how we remember this went last year; we were given the impression (by you) that we would have paid less last year when this was rewritten: “Even with the Fraud Protection added.”

Now, after a year since our request was never acted upon in the first place; you somehow (conveniently [seemingly] for you) want to quote us a higher price: “No ma’am that is not what we expected to hear from you Ginger, (again) after sitting down with you folks and doing what we thought was going to be done over a year ago now; has gone undone.”

So, right at this moment; we do not want you (Farmers) to do anything to our Home Owners policy: “Change, amend, rewrite, do nothing to incur any additional cost to us; we won’t sign or authorize anything (changes that is) on our policy right now, until further notice from us ma’am”!

My phone is dead and charging. Per attached I show your 2008 homeowners renewal was $499.23-actually cheaper than the new policy. If we had added the ID shield would have been plus $65, for a total of $564.23. To rewrite with more coverage was $597 including the policy fee. So it will NOT save you to go back and have them change back to '08. I can if you'd like, but will cost you more, not less. I feel it's in your best interests to leave as is.

I just became a nwe costumer on Sept 17,th 2009. I was told that my monthly payment would be $150.00. I asked how much I need to pay to cover me until Nov 1st. (I only get paid once a month thru my job) So, I have all of my bills come out on the first of every month.Anyways, Jeff told me that I needed to pay $212.10 to cover me until Nov 1st. Well, 3 days later I got an Ach for $12.10 but I had already given him a check for that. I go into the office and ask why did this hit my account. He said he had notihing to do with that. WHAT! you're my agent and should have everything to do with it. I told him Ok, please don't let this happen again. I NEED FOR MY PAYMENTS TO COME OUT ONLY ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH. Oh, Michelle don't worry this will never happen again. On Oct 17th, I had an ach for $262.00 hit my account and since I didn't plan for this, I got a $35 over fee. I call him and he said he was trying to get it fixed. Well, let me say today is Dec 3rd and I am still having to deal with the bank to get the money refunded. I have called him about 4x in the pastr 3 weeks and he had yet to return my calls.
Jut because your a big Corp. doesn't mean you can just treat me in this manner.

I have a similar problem to Michelle's. I have had home and auto coverage thru Farmers for the last ten years. For my auto policy, I have has automatic deductions done for my monthly premiums. Despite the fact that the billing statement shows that my account will be debited on the 7th of each month for a specified amount,some months the deduction would be made earlier or later and at times the dollar amount would vary by a couple of dollars. This in itself was more irritating than a huge problem, although I did wonder why the charges varied as well as the date of deduction.

In November 2009, my daughter began driving and I had purchased an older Jeep for her use. I called my agent to buy a liability only policy for the vehicle and was quoted the cost of $168.00/month for the Jeep policy. In addition to the premium for my 97 Honda Accord of $95.00/month, my monthly deduction for both policies should be $263.00. Because the policy on the Jeep was purchased late in the month, I sent my first payment to my agent by check, for $168.00. I was advised by the agent, that this would provide coverage thru December 7th, when my account would be debited for $263.00 for both policy premiums.

I happened to contact my agent yesterday to ask a few more questions regarding my policies and in the course of researching the answers, my agent informed me that Farmers currently had a "pending" debit to my account for $416.45. When I asked why the premium had increased to this amount, my agent said she would have to do more research. When she called me back at 4:50pm. I was told that Farmers was "catching up" the Jeep policy with the Honda policy. (????) and that Farmers could or would not do anything to change the amount to be debited. I was advised to call my bank to issue a stop on the payment. When I spoke to my bank I was told that this is a common practice for Farmers and other insurance companies. My bank officer checked my account, to find the the deduction was already "pending" on my account, and even if I did put a stop on the deduction, it might not actually stop it. On top of it all, the bank will charge me $25.00 to attempt to stop it, AND any overdraft fees related to other transactions not clearing due to the addition monies taken by Farmers.

I am now in a very frustrating catch-22 with my bank and Farmers, not to mention my budget. Because Farmers did not keep their word, and providing extremely poor customer service, I have begun the search for a new insurer.

The ironic part of all this- I work for a collision repair facility which is on Farmers "circle of dependability" network...the shop's status on this network depends heavily on the customer service their customers receive from us. Obviously Farmers Insurance does not hold themselves to the high standard they expect from their perferred vendors. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. If my job depends on how I treat their customers, their jobs should depend on how they treat me-one of their customers!

I've had my car insured with Farmers for about 2 years when I reported it stolen back in september 2009. I went on a trip to Washington,DC I got back home two days later my Nissan 350Z was gone. I've cooperated with Farmers and the douchebags they name investigators, i've told them everything i knew, i proved where i stayed, the time we took between SC and Washington. I remembered the places we stopped to eat and get gas and gave copies of all receipts i had kept with me from my trip. I was completely devastated then and im completely devastated now for the theft of my vehicle. I probably found out more myself then they did in five months, i've been their main suspect the intire time since day one i reported the vehicle stolen. The investigator working on my claim is a total loser, they tried to change every argument i used on phone calls against me. The adjuster made a complete fool of myself when i spoke to her on the phone back a week ago I demanded her to give me a time line, to either pay for my car or find it. The money they've spent hiring a lawyer to record another one of their stupid interviews it's probably the money they think they're gonna be taking off from my car value back then, my car was almost paid off. I've cried, I've prayed, I've cursed them, I've even tried to work a "macabre ritual"...lol nothing major though, i just wanted them to lose something special to them as my sweet ride was to me... :-( sniff sniff.
I was told that lawsuits take forever but I WILL NOT BACK OFF! They didnt give us a time line but we did, my husband's best friend is one of the bestest lawyers in SC he works mostly Car insurance cases. They have to either accept the claim or deny it this coming tuesday 02/16.

Im just a foreigner, they've treated me like that all along the way, but i promise you all americans out there i will be strong and i will fight them in the name of all of us. My money is has the same value to them. This is not a insurance fraud of my part and i will prove it in court.

Lets find better insurance companies to protect what is ours.

I worked as a Farmers SIU Investigator. there's no doubt that Farmers has no ethics. I recall when I was working a burglary of an apartment, I found no suspicious activity on the claim. Police advised there were no indications of foul play or any involvement on the (Farmers) Insured. The Claims Dept. advised they were going to move forward and pay the claim. My Manager made me re-open my investigation and told me "You continue to work on it until you find something on the insured. I don't care what it is, just find something on him". He refused to let me close the investigation even after advising him Detecives has no issues with the theft.
SIU tries to justify their existence so, they do whatever possible to ensure they survive. You documented your claim. Your car was almost paid of so, it seems you're weren't "upside down" on your loan.
Contact the Dept of Insurance in your state and file a complaint against Farmers.

I am currently an auto adjuster for Farmers. If you have a Farmers policy, you should cancel it not now, but right now! Farmers uses the cheapest 3rd world country parts on brand new vehicles and treats its employees and customers like dirt!

My wife was involved in traffic collision on 04/21/10 at a intersection and was struck by a 19 yoa girl racing to beat through the intersection and rammed our SUV head-on. The girl has Farmers insurance and according to their adjustors, we are 40% percent at fault and they pretty much slammed the door. We have a attorney in the case and have informed him to sue the girl and the insurance company and now is a waiting period. I'm thinking seriously of contacting my congressional representives and see if the state insurance law can be repealed since it does not work except for the insurance companies.

We had been customers of Farmers for years ... Our agent passed away and we were given a new agen ... She had new ideas and talked us into changing our policy. Our bill was never right! So we changed insurance company and cancel with Farmers. Well the agent didn't input the information that we no longer needed insurance through Farmers. Needless to say they kept on billing us and I have been at this for over 3 months. Trying to get this billing straight! Through all this they have turned us into a collection service and as of 8/2/10 I'm still dealing with Farmers. So I agree Farmers Sucks!

Ok I did not read my paper bill for Aug, that is what my agent said when I went to talk to her about my Aug car payment, it was $262.00 per month, In Jun I asked to change my due date from every 13th of the month to the 22nd of each month, in July my payment was $396.00 becouse of the prorations, but in Aug again they withdrew $396.00 dollars out of my account. I talk to my my agent and she was not able to explain the charges, instead she said thjat in Sep my premium goes down to $264.00. I cancelled the automatic draft and will be cancelling the policy next month. So just becouse all they have to do is press a button to take the money from your account. They take any amount they want??

My car was involved in an accident with a vehicle insured by Farmers. To make long story short. The adjuster came out and give me an estimate and left me a check for $2100.00 and a list of their preferred auto body shop. Then I went to get 2 estimates from 2 different body shop. One is on their preferred list and the other is not. Both came out around $3200.00. Now the adjuster will not give me the differences. I think it's going to be another battle with these insurnace that don't want to pay up. What's new!!

I am a individual who both home and auto insurance is covered thru Farmers Insurance.

On 6/07/10, as i was pulling out of my drive way, I was in an accident where the other driver damaged (scratches/dents) the entire right side of her car across my rear bumper.
After checking the damages to both cars, I suggested we proceed with the usual steps required (call the police, exchange info., etc.).
The driver in her early 20s, wanted to contact her father so I waited...
After her conversation with her father, she told me that her father told her not to contact the police and since her there is more damage to her car, she should just come home? and then RAN off!!? Shocked, seeing her drive off, I managed to get her license plate number.
I reported the above to my Farmers agent. I received a call from the Farmers accident processing department and again informed the above.

Since then, according to Farmer's accident processing, the other driver's insurance company (Geico) is claiming the driver is now 40+ years old! and I am at fault! More absurd is that Farmers agrees and places me at fault!!!
I'm blown away by the fact that Farmers is completely neglecting to defend the insured customer and paying for the damages of the other party who is at fault and let me REMIND you that it was basically a "hit and run" and whatever they're claiming that they're LYING!? because the driver doubled her age in matter of days!!??
I contacted Geico. According to Geico, they will reinvestigate if Farmer's Representative contacts them. Farmers accident processing department is choosing not to contact Geico and their decision is final...

Farmers, Paul Hopkins, anyone, please advise...

My truck was back into by a farmers insured as I was parked in a private parking lot all the info was exchanged and i called farmers before letting the guy leave i was told he had insurance and it was not going to be a problem 2 weeks later farmers calls me and says they cant get ahold of their insured so they are closing the claim and will not pay to fix my truck This Is Rediculous

OK, my turn. I was just in a accident with someone who has Farmers Insurance. The lady admitted full blame for the accident. It's even on the police report. After waiting 3 days for the police report, I contacted Farmers Ins. and the agent told me that they need to send out an adjustor to see how much damage was done. I told her OK what day thinking within the next day or two. LOL She said she couldn't get an adjustor out to see my truck for at least 3 weeks. I told her the truck was my work truck and I needed a rental truck. She said she couldnt give me a rental until after the adjustor had been out to check out my truck. OK the adjustor comes out, next day I call back. I ask / tell her I need the rental cause I'm losing $200 a day in wages without my truck. She then tells me there is nothing she could do until the adjustor finishes with the other party (the driver hip a wall at a fast food place.) I asked why she then tells me their is a limitation problem with the policy. WHAT THE HECK NOW. Meanwhile, I noticed the fast food place was already fixed / repaired. I call back and now the agent went on vacation. The person she left in charged of the claim doesnt answer her phone and I've left at least 15 messages to her and her supervisor. I'm still waiting for a answer. Meanwhile I've filed a complaint with the Insurance Commission Group for the State.

My experience with Farmers has been as follows: Our Lexus Sc430 was hit by a 16 yr old girl driving a vehicle with over 280,000 miles on it. Could it have been safe to drive? She ran a red light at a Highway 101 intersection when she totalled our vehicle. We ustained over $30,000. in auto damage. My wife and i were ambulanced to the hospital. Farmers agent called the next day to say they would pay all medical. Our car was paid in full by our insurer AAA.
There was a witness to the accident and many immediately thereafter. A Carlsbad motorcycle patrolman was standing on the opposite corner of the intersection at time of impact. he was doing radar stops on Southbound traffic. He cam to our immediate aid. After more than 18 months of medical , physical therapy, accupuncture, orthopedic surgeon spinal infusions of cortisone i feel thankful to be alive. However my pre-accident lifestyle is gone forever. I can no longer hike, walk more than a 1/4 mi.swim, play tennis or bicycle all of which just before the incident. THe 16 yr. old was on her phone, not looking forward when she ran the light and demolished our car.
Now Farmers after accepting responisbility for our medical bills related to the crash, paying over $40,000 for our totalled vehicle is saying since you only had soft tissue injuries, so we are going to drag out the payment for pain and suffering process and make you suffer some more all in the name of the extra profits they can make.
If it were AAA they would have paid a reasonable settlement promptly but not wonderful Farmers.
