salvage title on my car when Farmers customer hit me.

Posted by Kat
I recently purchased a car with a salvaged title and had put $3k down on it. The day after I paid my first note and got my plates a Farmers customer hit me. Farmers is now telling me that they only pay 50% of the cars value because of the salvage title. I really need some help with this, I'm not just out a car but my down payment as well. I had only had the car for 30 days when she hit me. The agent at Farmers said that there is no negotiating because of the salvage title. TIA
