Farmers Denied Claim after 5 months, says they believe car was stolen.....

My car was stolen on January 14/15, 2012. It was recovered on the 15th, close to my home, burned. Farmers after two weeks finally went to tow lot and called stating the car was totaled.

After numerous phone calls, phone interviews, face to face interview, and me suppling them with phone records, text message records and giving them whatever they ask for they notified my on June 5 that they have denied my claim because they do not believe that my car was stolen.

I have been investigated by local police, my boyfriend has made statements, they have called a couple of friends, and still they beleive I had something to do with it.

I lost my car key...first mistake...and my back window was broken (held up by duck tape), which I was trying to get the car manufacture to pay for because they had so many recalls on Jeep Liberty windows. The keys were in the car when they found it...I lost my job last August so they have kept trying to say I financially couldn't pay for my car (of which I have NEVER missed a payment on and continue to pay on).

Yes I am a single mother without a job, but I am also a full time student that has taken care of my household just fine with my current financial means. I feel I have been suspected since day one because of my current situation, although I still make the payment on the car I haven't seen in months. I needed the car. I don't have a job to get another car, I had to sell things to get a used car (paid with cash), which is fine if I didn't have to pay insurance on a car I don't have, pay for repairs on an older car AND pay a car payment and finance fees for a car that is totaled!

I have made a complaint with the MO Department of Insurance, and will have to get an attorney. The stress and aggravation is overwhelming and this entire process has taken up so much time it is unbelievable.

Any assistance is greatly appriciated.
