Immoral Scam to hire New agents

Immoral Scam to hire New agents

Watch out for the Tukwila (Seattle) District Hiring scam.

It was just as the forum members warned about how the district manager paints a very vague rosey picture at the interview.

He told me that they wanted to expand in a particular city. But when I checked this area is already flooded with farmers agents.

So I think it was a scam to get a new agent to sign up and get their friend and families to sign on to policies.

I found this website and did not go for a second interview!

Phew!

FYI, they are now sending me spam mail after they had me input my address in a computer for a aptitude test. How lame farmers is!

It seems they employ the same hiring scam at every District Office. They also told me that it was the best time to be with Farmers, because they wouldn't be hiring anymore people. But every week they were interviewing people, I think that is how they make extra money, they have you pay for their cram course, and the fee for that stupid U4,$690 fee, which they don't want to refund.

I just took an admin job with Farmers district office.

From reading this board, sounds like I'm in a familiar bad boat.

Given a fancy job title, an office, and when interviewed was led to believe my job duties would be assisting with reviewing resumes, office duties, and that's about it. It didn't sound too good to be true, it just sounded like something I'd enjoy.

Now that I'm here, I'm given some papers stating if I don't get X amount of career agents by the end of the year, I'll be fired! What?? I'm an admin asst... not a recruiter and I can't force anyone to start an agency! I'm not sales/marketing person! The job advertisement said Administrative Assistant! The DM has years of experience and can't get any career agents, how am I supposed to??

I'm so upset they tricked me into leaving my old job - yes partly my fault, but I went by what I was told in my interview. If they were honest, they'd stop wasting everyone's time.

I am interested in communicating with x-Farmers agent or current Farmers agent that were taken in by this scam. We need to group together to determine if we can develope a class action suite against Farmers. Please send me information the this site or email me.

when i worked at the district office the DM told me "we will tell prospective recruits anything they want to hear to sign them on." i sat in some interviews with these prospective agents and felt sick listening to the DM skim the details...sounded like a bad infomercial. Those poor people... I'm glad I left before I had to "sell" them the agent job.

Jad & Todd,

RE: Breach of Contract by Farmers Insurance

Farmers sent ___________ case to collection instead of addressing her detailed concerns as outlined in a recent letter. That only shows what I already know about Farmers, Farmers (Mason Ohio) has no class, no ethics and are extorting instead of insuring.... Farmers should not have sent a disputed account to a collection agency.

No matter how many misdirected employees, lawyers harassers or intimidators Farmers has I will enjoy defeating them. Tell Farmers (Mason Ohio) to withdraw, cease and desist or prepare to loose many of their current clientele , and or their licence to do business in Ohio that is my battle plan.

check this site, (one of many) would your group like to have a site that tells the real story, as I see it?

I hope for a reform of Farmers, that they turn around, repent of their unfair (standard) criminal procedures... however it can go less favorable ways if Farmers (Mason Ohio) persists.

Happy New Year fella, I think you too believed in Farmers Insurance, and thought they had integrity.
I sincerely hope things improve, and advise they cancel TODAY their unjustified assessment of ______________.

Interesting site, blog. I have an interview with Farmers tomorrow and from the people here it sounds like the same type of interview. Today I googled "Why would farmers hire me?" and found this site. I was curious why Far,mers contacted me without me initiating the interview. They contacted me and said after reading the resume online you would be perfect for the job. Seems to unreal and why would they need people to open an agency when they have agents working for them. I got even more curious when I received another similar email from another insurance company who had similar tactics and initial letter.

I would like to know if i should continue playing the game knowing what i do now?
