Getting screwed on assigned policies!!!

I am a agent in west TX who started in March of 07. I took over an entire agency in a small town where I am the only agent. I was told when I signed up w/ Farmers that I would be paid "Service Commissions" on 500 series coded policies which are 50% of regular commissions for 2 years, at that point they would convert to 200 series which would pay full commissions. March of 2009 rolls around and I'm excited to get a little boost in commissions, I am told by my DM that he was misinformed and I have to wait 2 "full calender" years before they will convert and he says they willbe converted January of 2010. January foio comes in this month and all these policies still haven't converted. I called my DM office and one of the employees there says they probably won't convert until March or April!!! So that means I have serviced these policies for half the commissions for an entire year!! Have any other agents experienced this? Please advise if you have.

Just an update......talked to my District Office yesterday and they told me that those policies will not convert until APRIL!!! so by my calculations, I have serviced these policies for 3 years and 1 month...So if Farmers paid the old agent 1 years of commissons for contract value...then they are making out pretty good getting another year of labor for half price out of me.

Advice for you... is you won't get those policies, there will always be a PIF issue you didn't make or Farmers way issue you didn't do. I have had that happen and I won't get the policies, I got policies from an agent that quit with 30 days notice, and that was four years ago, it won't happen, start trying to make money selling outside business if you contract allows it.
Good luck
