How about working in an office with the constant fear of getting fired by an egomaniac with a talent for kissing the district manager's ass. How a guy who worked in a body shop and wrote repair estimates can be a divisional manager of a liability group is beyond me. Intimidation and fear is how this organization is run. Asked yourself this, why do your employees work so hard to become supervisors, and then after a short time they step down because they are working 6 days a week and are putting in 12 hr days. Hell women are having babies just to get time off from this hell hold. Josue Estrada is a know nothing, Jim Peters lets Josue kiss his ass all the way to San Diego, and all that work for these idiots are subject to their stupidity. I will be specific in other posts. But karma is a bitch.....

Hello "Old Adjuster"

I've been waiting to post on this forum for some time but will soon.

If you heard my story you wouldn't believe it. If you knew who I was I'm sure you would know my name.

I was also a long time Farmers adjuster who was recently terminated after almost 20 years with the company. I won't get specific at this time but I was targeted for reasons up still to be discovered.

Those in charge not only manufactured and falsified documentation about my termination but involved other employees to do this. However they were so stupid they failed to realize I have many friends. I either have copies of their intentional manufacturing of facts or and several ex and current employees who are willing to testify to what was done. I have already started legal proceedings.

I would love to talk.

I too was fired by Josh Estrada.
20 years with the company as an above average employee. The truth of the matter is that by the end of 2008 I could no longer keep up as I had a life outside of my job. I am not bitter about the fact that I was fired, rather, I am disgusted by the process management went through to document me and build a papertrial. Daily emails from my supervisor trying to make me look like I wasn't doing my job, etc. It would have been much more humane, moral and cost-effective to fire me once they decided I could be replaced by someone younger and cheaper. Farmers is an "at will" employer and has the right to fire whoever they want. They think that that means they can treat people horribly in the process. If you are a manager or supervisor at Farmers and do this to your employees, SHAME ON YOU....remember, what goes around comes around!!!!
BTW, I feel like I have been given a second chance at life since being terminated by Farmers!!!!

You are very very very correct. I don't understand why they just don't fire people they don't like instead of creating a fake paper trail trying to justify your termination. Its obvious they are trying to replace older adjusters with younger ones. Funny thing is they think their saving money but at least in my former office they are not. Our office paid so much more on claims including EC due to blunders by management/adjusters with no experience. But the payroll is less and they wont try to comprehend any affect this strategy might have.

I have been around a while and have never heard of the guy who fired you? Probably some stooge never thinks or questions anything but follows orders. Thats the only qualification you need these days. I'm sorry to here about your situation. I know going to work every day knowing you were doing a good job but being told you weren't all of the sudden after so many years is devastating. People with our work ethic just tried harder and worked more hours but it wouldn't matter.

I hope you're right about karmic retribution but I don't have the confidence you do. The way things are headed and the people they have in charge will only embolden them to continue their path. Because they are mentally ill they think the path they've taken is a righteous one.

Maybe this should be a class action?

Well, has anyone filed a complaint or thought of a lawsuit, to put and end to the tyranny that exists? Let me know

Sign me up. Same scenario. Fabricated information in order to get me out the door. I'm on the East Coast. The corruption is company-wide. H/R could care less what Management is up to. Seems they condone the unethical behavior.

I was terminated a couple months ago by Josh, put on "memo" where my supervisor never met with me weekly as required by the "memo guidelines". A couple months after, I was terminated, do you know if I can sue because of a breach of contract since the sup. never followed up with me weekly? Or since they hire "at will" I do not have a chance?

I too was fired by the corporate suck ass - Josh (Josue) Estrada. Josue is one of the biggest spineless cowards I have ever met in my life. He would target any employee that questioned his methods. Josh was just a bully that would pick on anyone below him in the pecking order that is Farmers Ignorance group.

Like all bullies...he was a complete pussy and was nothing more than a sniveling worm around anyone who out ranked him and a Tyrant Nazi to anyone below him. He was the complete definition of what Farmers management really is, a soulless yes man with no compassion for anyone. He was willing to step on anyone it took to appease his many masters...mainly Jim Peters or Linda Nelson.

This particular jerk-off, like many others like him at Farmers, was completely protected by both upper management and HR. I reported him to HR for many illegal activities that he was engaging in and for degrading adjusters openly in meetings. I had documented proof that he was violating many labor laws in California...I brought them before HR anonymously time and time again yet nothing was done. In fact, I later learned that he was promoted to regional manager. What a joke. The lowest of the low move up the corporate ladder at Farmers Ignorance Group.

I left that hell hole over two 1/2 years ago and have never looked back...things are much better for me now...Working for Farmers was the worst experience of my life by far, and working under a tool like Josue was the icing on the cake. My heart goes out to the adjusters that are still there and have to deal with Josue on a daily basis. In closing I just want to say that Josue (Josh) Estrada is the lowest of the low in Corporate America...he is an enforcer doing the dirty work of the top execs...selling his soul and humanity to them for pennies on the dollar to the millions that they make. Basically, Josue (Josh) Estrada is a complete and total sell out.

I always assumed that I wasn't the only one treated poorly by Josue; But to see so many other people describing him and his activities to a tee makes me feel better, but at the same time it sucks to know that he was able to completely wreck so many peoples lives. I worked for him/at the Northridge office for about 2 years from 2007-09 and saw them go through lots of really great people, and crush the spirits of so many more. I am so glad that I am not in that place or with that company any more. I would love to hear from other people that worked in that area from 07-09 to see how people from that time are doing, and if there is anything in the works about any other class action suit. I know I have been contacted at least twice since I have left from attourneys in regards to some suits. But never heard about any follow up.

Josh is the worst and he descriminates towards everyone who doesnt kiss his ass. He should be punished, he is a joke, and he talks about other nationalities really bad too. I hate that asswhole. I got out from that department and from Farmers before he got the chance to fire me.

let me add wood to the fire!!! i worked at farmers insurance for 8 years at 4 different offices, and also worked at these offices mentioned, i have to write my own experiences as well... farmers is an average company that treat their employees based on fear, they are very up tight and make their employees lifes miserable, i am glad i am gone! i was not fired but there is a better career outside farmers for sure!
