Hello-

Farmers can really make you LOL. Remember back in the day, you were told you owned your own agency and that your in business for yourself, but not by yourself? Waht a load of crap! I was asked to resign after 16 years because of low production. No where in the AAA does it mention a quota of needed production to kkep your contract in force. With that being said, I truly believe Farmers did me a favor. Farmers is a sinking ship and its agents are like the band on the Titanic playing there instuments as it goes down. If you look at there business plan/model they will be phasing agents out, and passing on your book of business onto the 'Mega Agents', thus having a handful of agents with 10,000+ pif, and less and less of the 500-2000 pif agencies. The more it shifts to online customer quoting and binding, and having the agents service it free of charge, you watch, these policies are going to be the 15/30/5 liability only clients calling and taking up your time and ultimately money. Agents are being taken advantage of, and being sold a bill of goods that you can now cross sell these accounts. LOL

Wait and see agents, they are going to bait and switch the entire agency force excluding the 'Mega Agents' whole will all have our policies, and sooner or later they will also be phased out. Just a matter of time. To new agents...do not put all your eggs in one basket, be sure to sell other policies to cover your ass when they show you the door. Good luck!

Are you kidding me in my area, Lubbock, the DM of the agents had the agents go to a meeting where they told them that if a customer comes in and they dont qualify for a Farmers product, sell them the 21st century product or Foremost and keep the policy in the farmers market. HOWEVER, they would not get any commision on this but they might could sell them life insurance? They get to sell for Farmers, no commision, and get to service the customer if the client has a claim. What a laughing stock of a company.
