Former President's Council District Manager story

I know of a former President's Council District Manager with Farmers Insurance that got into a huge battle with Feinstein and the Braddock in Utah. Brian Braddock was said to hate anything Mormon and tried to fire this manager's agents who were clergy in the Mormon Church.

Brian Braddock was the son of Bim Braddock and Brian's brother (I don't know his name) was the President of the Board of Directors for Farmers Insurance. Anyway, this story is amazing!

Anybody know the District Managers name? I'll ask around and post more as I get it...

The manager's name is Paul Drockton. He started out as an agent in 1991. He won every award you could win and even wrote sales presentations for the company. He is well educated, has a Master's Degree and made the company tons of money. He was one of the best recruiters in the company and a great trainer.

The names of the agents that were being persecuted are as follows:

1. Douglas Judd (agent, Payson?)- bishop
2. Doug Orton (agent, Spanish Fork)- bishop
3. Randy Tuckett (agent, Orem)- bishop
4. Curt Windhorst (agent, Provo)- BYU class president
5. Kevin Hatton (agent, life specialist) former Mormon missionary
6. Paul Drockton (District Manager) Mormon Missionary, Elders Quorum President
Others targeted:

1. Ken Lance (Mormon)
2. Ken Evenson (Salt Lake Agent)

Others not listed

All of the above were depositioned by Farmers Insurance lead attorney. Farmers will not release their depositions. Drockton's complaint was religious discrimination, harrassment, sexual harrassment and others...

Drockton sent all of the agent statements to Farmers CEO Martin Feinstein, who gave the problem to Paul Hopkins, Farmers current CEO.

Hopkins tried to get Drockton to a "team building" manager meeting in Colorado. Drockton wouldn't go because it was cliff-climbing and he feared for his life. Hopkins threatened to fire him if he did not attend.

Drockton got sick and was excused for coming down with an ulcer.

The so-called investigation of Drockton's charges took place starting August of 2002. Braddock was never depositioned or even questioned about the harrassment charges. Hopkins refused to move him, or temporarily suspend him from his position. He sent his staff and other managers to harrass Drockton and his agents.

Right after the harrassment investigation, Farmers awarded a contract and paid $100,000 to Jill Beard, the managing owner of Contact Management. Drockton's wife had an ownership interest in the company and was never told or compensated from the contract.

Agents that had contracted with Contact Management started being double-billed and denied services for payment. Jill Beard blamed it all on Paul Drockton.

After he left Farmers, he tried to secure his wife's interest in Contact Management and was ejected from their building.

He took Jill Beard to court and won a Temporary Restraining Order against her and a Preliminary Injunction. She was ordered to turn the company over. Documents showed that she had stopped paying all of the telemarketers after the Farmers Contract was given her and simply pocketed the money. She also fraudulantly opened accounts in the Drocktons name.

Drockton also found out that Farmers Financial Services had illegally paid off a factoring loan for Jill Beard for over $10,000. This is against Federal Law, SEC and NASD guidelines. FFS is a broker dealer and sells mutual funds. Drockton was threatened with physical harm if he ever went public with this information.

Jill Beard has since been convicted of 2 felonies and a misdemeanor. She reportedly stole over $300,000 from the Drockton's and Contact Management. Her father was a claims rep for Farmers and she was recommended to Drockton by the Braddock State Office when he first came to Utah (January, 2002) for her telemarketing services.

Curt Windhorst was hired by Drockton and a new agent. He recieved large sums of money from Farmers to change his testimony on the harrassment charges. He also worked as a go between between Farmers and the other complainants. Curt had large deposits recorded on his bank statements during the investigation time period that he could not explain.

Curt also met secretly with Jill Beard and Kevin Hatton at Contact Management. His credit card shows that he flew out to Los Angeles to meet with Farmers Management.

Curt Windhorst lived in Drockton's neighborhood. He used his influence to smear Drockton and his family. He also subverted any joint business ventures Drockton started.

He has since changed his name to Curt McLaughlin and has fled from the area to avoid testifying against his co-conspirators. He is currently on the Lamb with no known address.

After all the witnesses were terminated, silenced or bribed, Farmers fired Paul Drockton. They also forced him to sign an agreement that forbade him from talking about what had taken place or anything he would discover took place in the future. This took place in October,2002. This was before he discovered the damage being done to him personally and financially.

Drockton was afraid of destroying the livelihood of the agents he had fought for.

Drockton ended up having over 500,000 stolen from him, his good name destroyed and blackballed from the entire insurance industry thanks to well placed phone calls or references.

He was in an auto accident with severe injuries, including a head injury and forced into rehab. Curt Windhorst used the opportunity to steal him blind and complete the destruction.

The Farmers agents were lied to and told that he was fired for other reasons. Farmers continued to harrass Drockton. He fired Windhorst and tried to start an independent agency and mortgage business. Farmers continued its harrassment and tried to destroy his new business relationships.

The goal was to bankrupt him and force him to take his own life by his own hand.

Drockton turned over everything to law enforcement. Much more could be said. Farmers is a large corporation with its own lawyers and private police/investigators. Unlimited wealth and political connections. No lawyer would touch Drockton and no newspaper or media outlet would print his story.

Brian Braddock was moved to Arizona. The person that fired Drockton is was sent to Indiana as their State Executive and terminated every District Manager that was friends with Drockton. No witnesses to Drockton's accomplishments. Agents in Fort Wayne Indiana were loyal to Drockton. Many will tell what a great job he did.

Braddock was very thourough with this no-witness left behind program.

Dan Drockton, who bought Paul's agency in Cleveland, was also harrassed into leaving the company after the complaint.

Indiana Managers terminated, or moved because of theuir association with Paul Drockton:

1. Paul Quinn-Indiana State Executive: demoted, recommended Drockton for Utah position and gave Drockton DM of the year award for State of Indiana.

2. Vern Bennett: forced to resign and take agency. Drockton's best friend. Health has since deteriorated.

3. Tom Cobb: forced into early retirement.

4. Others not named in this forum include managers and agents close to Drockton who could testify to his character and positive impact on company. this list does not include Drockton's supporters at home office now gone including former CEO Martin Feinstein who also retired prematurely after battling the Braddocks.

Drockton stood up to an anti-Mormon when he had nothing to gain personally and everything to lose. Shame on those "so-called" Mormon farmers agents who say they believe in their religion, but believe only in their paychecks.

They could have stood up for Drockton. Instead, they sold him out for Braddocks and Farmers filthy money, or a regular paycheck! Joseph Smith said that the sacrifice of everything is required to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Shame on: Doug Orton, Ken Evenson, Curt Windhorst(McLaughlin), Jill Beard, Kevin Hatton, Douglas Judd and Randy Tucker! The only reason Drockton took on Braddock and Farmers was to protect your religion your agencies! How did you repay him?

He was a President's Council District Manager and the best in Utah for heaven's sake! He could have sold all of your worthless hides down the river when Braddock wanted them!

1. He out-recruited every other manager in the State of Utah combined!
2. He doubled the amount of production per agent!
3. His Districts always became the best in the company!

Complaints filed with Farmers by Drockton:

Ken Evenson: "He is very anti-Mormon."

Douglas Orton: "They won't let me pass my agency onto my son and took policies away from my agency that I had earned. They would not pay me my full-commissions.

Doug Judd: "They criticize me for spending so much time with the Mormon Church.

Kevin Hatton: "They won't promote me because I am Mormon. I went to a management interview and was forced to talk about my Mormon mission instead." They never talked about my experience, only my activity in the Mormon church. I didn't get the job from Braddock because I am Mormon!"

Randy Judd: They won't take me off of the profitability program because I am a Mormon Bishop!

Curt Windhorst: They won't let me go full-time because I'm a Mormon. They keep messing with my policies and I can't get them issued!!

Anti-Mormon statements reported to Farmers:

"They spend too much time with church callings, not enough time with their business."

"They have too many kids."

"No-one can be a leader in the church and a good agent."

the list goes on and on.

Braddock's staff had no Mormons on it until after Drockton's complaint!! The most Mormon State in the Union!!!!

Drockton also reported Farmers Insurance to the State of Utah for charging millions of dollars too much in predominantly Mormon areas. He managed from Utah County down to Saint George!

Rate discrimination is a crime!

I was named in a frivolous lawsuit, with other agents, for red-lining in Cleveland, Ohio. I proved I was not guilty. Farmers lawyers pushed me to plead guilty, and they would get me reduced charges and pay my fines. They kept pushing me to plead guilty, I said no.

I told the lawyer to do his job. I was found innocent 2-3 weeks later.

I believe that, because my brother had proven discrimination against Mormons, they were trying to set-me up to be guilty against other minorities.

I was continually harrassed in other ways until I left the company.

I was Career Agent of the year for Ohio.
I had Toppers Club.
I was 3rd in life sales for the year.
I was always profitable. #1 in Ohio for profitability.
I won trips and numerous other awards but none of that mattered.

They had other agents spying on me and went through my business with fine tooth comb. Underwriters would not issue new business for my agency. This was clearly illegal retaliation for my brother's complaints against Brian Braddock whose brother is the Chairman of the Board for Farmers Insurance.

Mormons4Justice are trying to gather signatures so that they can have a public hearing on the Farmers Insurance vs. Paul Drockton issue.

I have known Paul Drockton personally and he is one of the most honest and trustworthy persons I ever met. If Farmers Insurance is a reputable company should take this issue very seriously and take the appropriate steps to correct it.

So, it appears that Farmers Insurance experience with violating R.I.C.O. through fraud, witness tampering and numerous other felonies was taught to them by the best.

How can any good and active Latter-Day Saint continue to do business with Farmers Insurance? B.A.T. is also the number one seller of tobacco products to third-world countries.

This isn't about Mormons. Its about doing all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons. Do you really think this is a smart business decision in Utah? Is Brian Braddock worth millions of dollars in lost business?

Look at the lengths Farmers went to in an attempt to cover one bad State Executive's misdeeds. They're still protecting him after all the havoc he's wreaked! The Braddock family must have some pretty good dirt on someone in order to be able to keep this loser employed! We suppose having a brother as Chairman of the Board can't hurt either!

What about all the good agents that are losing their businesses because of Brian Braddock's poor decisions. Do they deserve it too? You know they're not all Mormon! They should be up in arms with Farmers Insurance right now!

Just responding to Mormons4Justice's post, Farmers Insurance is NOT owned by B.A.T. They sold their Financial Services division to Zurich in 1998. Zurich is the only company that owns Farmers. It is also publicly traded just as Allstate is.
