I'm in quite a dilemma. I didn't add my new car to my farmers policy (the 30 day window has passed) and I got into an accident with an old car where I rearended someone who also has farmers. I added the new car to the policy that day, but my understanding is that i'm not going to get covered for this accident. I believe the other party's car is probably totaled (it's worth ~2k on kbb) but she is claiming injuries. Is there anything I can do at this point to prevent getting ripped off with inflated bills?

No not really. If you handled yourself, you would have to have years of expierence. Hopefully Farmers will pay it under the other parties Uninsured Motorist policy and subrogate you. I suggest letting them pay and hassel with all the bills and you pay them back, $50 @ month till its covered.

Was the new car an additional vehicle or a replacement vehicle? If it replaced one that was already insured, you may have until the end of the policy period to report the purchase yo your agent.
