I purchased insurance for my business from Truck Insurance Exchange, a member of Farmers. When I had a loss, Truck refused to pay and canceled my insurance, saying I had lied on my application. In fact, there was NO application that I ever signed or ever saw. The Farmers insurance salesman came out to my business, asked some questions, and promised to provide insurance. Apparently HE, not ME, filled out some kind of on-line application that I never saw and answered questions I was never asked. I guess he answered the questions in a way to get me the insurance, but must have known there would be a problem if I ever had a substantial claim. Is this normal? Why was there no real application that I could have reviewed and signed, if correct? Instead, I was screwed out of my premium dollars for nothing. What gives?
