I wanted to get some insight from anyone interested. I am in NY and am considering Farmers (don't kill me yet). I've already said no once a couple years ago. A buddy of mine who tows to company line is a recruiter there but I'm apprehensive. Obviously I'm sure anyone here will tell me to run far away and pick another company so my question is twofold.

One. Were there any positives to being with Farmers. I see a nice bonus structure of up to $5,000 a month for the first year. Also some other milestone bonuses. But I am worried about them wanting me to hire two people.

Two. I see that aside from the bonuses I have to foot the bill for everything......yuck. Are there any companies in New York anyone can suggest here? My friend told me to try Erie Insurance and I will look at them but any info would help thanks.
