Naive01, If you want to learn as someone who has 0 experience don't join Farmers. You will get very little training unless you have an awesome district manager (which you very will could, but it's hard to tell). I joined Farmers with 0 experience and my training was sh*t, but for me I wanted to make it work so I worked my tail off and now I'm doing very well with Farmers. Lee, I'm sorry to hear about your problem. Your situation is all on your agent, not Farmers. He is not doing his job or making sure everything is in order (he's forgetting to do something). Call your agents District Manager and calmly tell him what's going on. If you wanted your Farmers policy to be cancelled, just tell the District Manager when you wanted it cancelled and hopefully he'llby CurrentFarmersAgent - General Discussions

khop, The reason for a written statement of cancellation is because the agent is either 1) covering his/her butt or 2) wants to know what you'll be paying. I require a written and signed cancellation letter or email from my insureds because of #1 and I'll tell you why. Lets say client "John Smith" calls in and says he's switching insurance carriers on Jan 1st and wants me to cancby CurrentFarmersAgent - General Discussions

Amy, If your current agent isn't helping you, you can do a couple of things that might be helpful (Hopefully you've received a refund by now). 1) Call your agents District Manager. Tell him/her that you haven't received a refund and tell them that you want to file a complaint about your agent.
