AGENTS SUING FIG - 11 years ago
I have started 2 lawsuits!! One for all agents of FIG (current and former) who are angered by the blantent theft of earned commissions. One for all agents who have signed the 2009 AAA. We were fraudulently induced and most of us have the recruiting materials to prove it. IF you have yours -- that can REALLY help us. If you have chargebacks on your commissions -- you are in lck. Should I? -- Here is what I can tell you from my experience: I am currently a reserve agent, very close to being a career agent. IT ONLY GETS WORSE -- THE "TRAINING" IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME< INAACURATE AND MOSTLY OUT OF DATE. All I am seeing is discounts being taken away, premiums screwed up and billings sent out for policies that have been paid. What she is saying is absolutely true. My low average was $5,000 a year. For me, that is definitely enough to go after Farmers for, so I have. It has come to my attention that Farmers has overcharged me, charged me for policies cancelling that I never received a payment on and lied to me about the commissions I was supposed to be paid on "orphan" policies. A great way to get started is to use an MGA (managing general Agent) THey usually have the markets and resources you need until you build up a big enough book to get direct appointments. In general your P&C commissions will be 10%, but you won't have any performace requirements. I am currently and agent with Farmers (not for long, though). I have recently discovered that my folio has been charged for policies that I never received commission for, the 50% of the standard commission I was promised for "Orphan" policies was actualy paid at 40% or less, and I also have lost more money than I have made, even though I am one of the top performing agents in my districby liedtoincolorado - Employee and Agent Complaints
