I was just involved in my first car accident approx three weeks ago. I called the toll free number for farmers that same evening giving the details of what took place. I was contacted a few days later by the rep from farmers who was going to determine who was liable. She determined that it was me, I tried to explain the details that should have made it clear that not all fault lied with me. There is not much I can do about this but the worst part is the individual I dealt with seemed to already have her mind made up. She left a message on my cell phone saying that they decided that the responsibility for the accident was mine and that this was with injury there were no injuries in this case!! She had to know who she was speeking with as she had just called my home phone 3 minutes before and left a message but did not state with injury, but their decision and my claim number, she then called my cell phone with the same info but then it's my responsibility with injury. I was at work when these calls were made, the caller id's on my phones show the times. My husband was at home the following day and called her back, she told him oh there were no injuries!!! What irresponsible stupidity I am upset enough with this being my first accident and this certainly made it worse.. I am glad I ran across your site. I am 52 years old |
